       Sometimes my experience selling complex commercial communications programs has some unexpected benefits. This “custom application” using durable PolyArt synthetic paper, yarn, and stickers had to be my favorite of the year. In September, my daughter Lauren and I traveled to Guatemala City on a week-long mission trip with Hope Lutheran Church of Wake Forest, NC.

       Did you know that Golden Corral is the largest buffet restaurant company in the world? In business since 1973, it has nearly 500 locations spread over 40 states and opened a new location every 16 days on average in 2010. Each year, the Golden Corral Family has their Annual Convention & Trade Show to celebrate successes and to showcase new themes for the coming year. As Golden Corral’s preferred supplier of in-store promotional materials, Classic was invited to attend this year.     In September, the Southern States annual business meeting and supplier product show made its Charlotte debut at the Convention Center. The Classic Team had their hands full helping Corporate Marketing get their booth set up with Banners and Stand Up Displays produced in our Wide Format Digital shop. We barely had time to set up our own Vendor Booth before the show got under way. This year’s theme, “Put the pedal to the metal and grow sales,” played off of Charlotte’s NASCAR ties and was a big hit with the  Corporate employees, district managers, and retail store associates were in attendance to learn more about Southern States’ new Multi-Chanel Marketing push.

    After 2 full days of sharing, posting, tweeting, liking & blogging, I can honestly report that my innocent social crush blossomed into a networking obsession.     CHARLOTTE, NC - June 6, 2011 - The Classic Graphics’ event, ClassicLive! held on Friday June 3rd, unveiled a new 180,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Innovation Park. The nearly 700 guests in attendance included clients, vendors and prospective clients.

    The word “classic” above the company’s main entrance symbolizes the rebirth and evolution of the 28-year-old Classic Graphics brand. As the company developed to meet the growing needs of clients, its diverse range of capabilities needed a more flexible and expandable brand identity all under one roof. The new brand "classic” will encompass the company’s services of print, mailing, fulfillment, complex kitting, data management, branded merchandise and classic continuum, a division that aims to simplify marketing workflows through web-deployed platforms.
